Hours: ~16 hours per week, Week 1: Tuesday 5pm-9pm, Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday 12pm-5pm; Week 2: Tuesday 5pm-9pm, Wednesday 5pm-9pm, Friday 9am-5pm

Position Description:
The Bartlett Public Library District is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time Circulation Associate. The Circulation Associate is responsible for providing high quality customer service by assisting patrons with the circulation of materials and assisting with the use of technology within the library.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for customer service at the public desk of the checkout area.
- Work with patrons to resolve problems with patron accounts.
- Assist patrons with technology questions and computer access within the library.
- Assist patrons at the self-checkout station.
- Process library card registrations.
- Accept payments for fines and fees.
- Answer incoming calls and route to other departments as needed.
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the lobby area of the library.
- Retrieve the outdoor book return and check in all returned material.
- Process items on hold.
- Perform various jobs involving reports and billing.
- Shelve library material onto carts and throughout the library.
- Help to direct the activities of the volunteers.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year of customer service experience.
- Must be willing to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
